"I keep six honest serving-men:(They taught me all I knew) Their names are What and Where and When and How and Why and Who." Rudyard Kipling
Knowledge is power...
Being in full possession of the facts is even more important now than it was back in 1902 when Rudyard Kipling wrote The Elephant's Child from which the above quote is taken. With managing information, knowing all the facts about the information being managed is vital. That's why we have a Strategic Partnership with O'Neil Software.
A full audit trail from order to delivery
When you, or someone from your organisation, orders an item from your inventory to be delivered to your office, a full audit trail is generated from the moment we enter the request into O'Neil, recording everything from who made the request, who pulled the item from your inventory and who delivered it to your office and everything in between. Each step is also time and date stamped to document exactly when it occurred. We also use our hand held scanners to scan items at your office, completing the audit trail as it ends at your office.
Accuracy
Human error is greatly reduced thanks to O'Neil. Our hand held scanners emit audible warnings when the wrong item is scanned. This prevents an item from your inventory from being delivered to someone it does not belong to. It also prevents the wrong item from being pulled from inventory. O'Neil also allows us to track the finer details like which box a file belongs to. In summary, O'Neil ensures that you get the right information from your inventory every time.
Security
O'Neil also allows for sophisticated access security to your information:
- Individual levels of security (from 0 to 99) can be set up for individual items; Your individual DMS Online users can then be assigned a security level from 0 to 99. If an item has a security level of 50, someone with a security level of 40 will not be able to access it. Also, users are assigned individual user names with strong passwords.
- Your individual web users will also be given custom levels of function access; for example, you will be able to ensure that only select members of staff will be able to retrieve items from your inventory, while others may only need to browse and modify inventory details.
- Account access can also be customised, so for example, your sales department can be assigned account access that restricts them from accessing payroll information.
